Green Beans Braised in Olive Oil

Ingredients

  • 500 g taze fasulye · 175 kcal

Method

  1. Required equipment: A medium-sized pot, a cutting board, and a knife.
  2. Dice the onion into small cubes and pour 1 tablespoon of olive oil into the pot.
  3. Turn the stove to medium heat and sauté the onions for about 3 minutes until they become translucent.
  4. Chop the tomatoes into small pieces, add them to the pot, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Trim the ends of the green beans with a knife, cut them in half, and add them to the pot.
  6. Add half a tea glass of water and salt to your taste.
  7. Turn the stove to the lowest heat setting and cover the pot with its lid.
  8. Cook for about 25-30 minutes until the beans are soft enough to be easily pierced with a fork.
  9. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool down to room temperature.
  10. Serve the beans on a plate with 150 grams of yogurt on the side.
